Dental inlays and onlays restore the missing tooth structure by mimicking the look, color and, contour of the natural tooth anatomy. All restorations are made to precision by our master ceramist.

Similar to dental fillings Inlays fit within the tooth and at Brown Prosthodontics are made of porcelain. Defective or unsightly metal restorations can be replace by ceramic inlays ensuring the conservation of tooth structure. These restoration like crowns are bonded to the tooth.

These also fit inside the tooth, but extend onto the chewing surface of a posterior tooth to replace one or more cusps. Making the onlay of ceramic/porcelain allows the restoration to be bonded to the tooth. This bonding process may actually improve the strength of the tooth and help seal the onlay to the tooth.
